Sav Card Transaction FAQs

  1. Are there any charges for using the Sav Card?

    There may be charges for certain transactions, such as foreign transactions. Check the fee schedule for your account type for details here: https://sav.money/pro

  2. Where can I use my Sav Card? You can use your Sav Card online and in-store wherever prepaid cards are accepted, subject to network and merchant acceptance.

  3. Can I spend money from my Sav Card at any time?

    Yes. You can spend money from your Sav Card at any time, whether it is in your main balance or organised into Pockets.

  4. Can I use my card abroad?

    Yes! Your card may be used anywhere VISA is accepted. Since it is an AED denominated card, your transactions will incur foreign transaction fees. Check our pricing and fees for this here: https://sav.money/pro

  5. Does organising money into Pockets affect how I spend? No. Pockets do not restrict spending. Money in Pockets remains part of your Sav Card balance and can always be spent or moved.

  6. Can Sav move money on my Sav Card without permission? No. Money only moves:
    1. when you take an action, or
    2. when a Rule you have set is triggered
  7. I've made a payment, but the transaction is not reflecting on my card?

    If you have transacted through the Sav card and the details are not reflecting on the card section, reach out to support.
    If you have topped up your card and the amount is not reflecting as card balance, then the balance may be in the unsettled balance and may get settled within 24 hours. In case it doesn't, the money will be returned to your bank account in 1-2 working days.

  8. If I want to send money to someone, do they have to be a Sav user?

    Yes, to send money through our app, the recipient needs to have a Sav card. This is called Pier to Pier (P2P) transfer that lets you instantly send money from your Sav Card to another Sav user.

  9. How do I send money through the Sav app?
    On the Sav app homepage, there is an option--> Send Money. Click that and select your payee.


  10. How much can I transfer in a day?
    You can transfer up to AED 5,000 per day via P2P.


  11. How many P2P transfers are available per month?
    These many P2P transfers are available every month:

    Standard users: 3 free P2P transfers per month

    Sav Pro users: 5 free P2P transfers per month

  12. Do unused free P2P transfers roll over to the next month?
    No. Unused free P2P transfers reset every month and do not carry forward.

  13. How fast is a P2P transfer?
    P2P transfers are usually instant. In rare cases, they may take a few minutes to reflect.

  14. Can I cancel a P2P transfer once it’s sent?
    No. Once a P2P transfer is completed, it cannot be reversed. Please double-check the recipient before confirming.

  15. Is my P2P transfer secure?

    Yes. All P2P transfers are protected with Sav’s security checks and real-time monitoring to keep your money safe.

  16. Where can I track my P2P transfers?
    You can view all your P2P transfers in the transaction history section of your Sav app.


  17. Can I send money to someone outside UAE? If yes, what are the charges? 
    We currently do not have remittance on the Sav card.

  18. Are there any charges when I use my Sav card for international transactions?
    Sav charges a fx fee plus standard rates of currency conversion. The fx fee may change depending on which plan you are on with Sav- do refer to the schedule of charges for the same. 

  19. Do you charge for ATM withdrawals?
    Depending on which plan you are with Sav, you may be charged for ATM withdrawals. Do refer schedule of charges for the same.
  20. Are there any fees for topping up my Sav Card?
      

    There may be fees associated with top ups. Do refer to the schedule of charges.
  21. How do I dispute a transaction with a merchant? To dispute a transaction with a merchant, simply send an email to our support team at support@sav.money from your registered email address along with a screenshot of your conversation with the merchant. We will then provide you with a dispute form which once filled will be forwarded to the right department to dispute the transaction and resolve the issue.
