What are Pockets on the Sav Card?
Pockets are sub-balances within your Sav Card balance that help you organise money for different purposes. They do not change where your money is held and do not lock your funds.
Does organizing money into pockets affect how I spend?
No. Pockets do not restrict spending. Money in Pockets remains part of your Sav Card balance and can always be spent or moved.
How are Pockets different from savings accounts?
Pockets are not savings accounts. They do not earn interest, do not lock your money, and do not represent deposits. Pockets simply help you organise how your Sav Card balance is used.
Why should I use Pockets with my Sav Card?
Using Pockets helps you:
organise money on your Sav Card for specific purposes
see how much you’ve allocated for each purpose
automate money movement using rules
How do I create a Pocket on my Sav Card?
To create a Pocket: Select Create PocketName your Pocket (for example, “School Fees”)Optionally set a target amount for tracking:

Can I rename or delete a Pocket later?
Yes. You can rename, edit, or delete a Pocket at any time. Deleting a Pocket simply returns the money to your main Sav Card balance.
What happens when a Pocket reaches its target amount?
Nothing changes automatically. The target amount is only for tracking purposes. Your money remains fully available to spend or move.
How do I put money from my Sav Card into a Pocket?
You can:
Move money manually from your Sav Card balance into a Pocket, or
Use Rules to move money automatically
Can I move money between Pockets on my Sav Card?
Yes. You can freely move money between Pockets at any time.
Is money in a Pocket locked or restricted?
No. Money in a Pocket is never locked. It can be:
How do I create Pockets?
To create a new Pocket, navigate to the Pockets page and choose the type of Pocket you would like to start. You may adjust the Pocket name, the amount you want to budget for, the cover photo and which rules you would like the Pocket to be funded by. When you are finished, tap 'Create my Pocket' at the bottom to start!
May I edit Pockets? How?
Navigate to the Pockets --> Existing Pockets. Tap on the Pocket name you would like to edit. From here you may update your cover photo, the name of the Pocket, the target amount, what rules are applied and who may budget with you.
What happens to a pocket whose target is achieved?
When your Pocket has achieved its target, you may transfer funds to your spending balance on the Sav Card. The money may be withdrawn from the ATMs or spent via the Sav Card.
What happens to the money if I close the pocket?
Before you close out a Pocket, you'll need to transfer the money out of the Pocket. You may move this to one of your other Sav Pockets or your spending balance.
What is “Daily Pocket”?
This pocket allows you to set up an amount to be moved to your Daily Pocket fund every day without you having to manually move funds.
What is my “My Roundups”?
This pocket allocates the round up spare change from your Sav Card spends. This can help you achieve financial goals without thinking about it.
